This design reinterprets the classic Southern farmhouse for a young family building their forever home. The form and materials draw from the familiar language of Carolina vernacular architecture—gables, porches, and stone—yet the spaces inside are fluid, open, and oriented toward connection.

An elevated foundation lifts the house above its landscape while framing wide views and breezy outdoor living spaces. Inside, the kitchen anchors family life, opening to a vaulted living area and a deep covered porch that extends daily life outdoors. The design strikes a balance between modern openness and crafted proportions, incorporating natural light and durable materials that will age beautifully over time.
